3. Research Culture: Find three credible/reputable published research sources on your topic (e.g.
EBSCO Host) in addition to our text. If you wish, add expert testimony and other types of research.
4. Develop Content: Use research to develop content. Cover the following content using evidence from
your research sources and your text. If you cannot find information on one specific criteria below (e.g.
education), just substitute the requirement for popular culture, relationships or conflict (Ch 7, 8, or 9).

5. Complete Outline Template (25 points): The brief, 500 word count Outline Template is intended to serve
as an overview of your content and research cites. The Outline Template is written text of your core content
with APA in-text citations (as you go, within Template) and APA References (at the end of Template). No
credit awarded if submitted without Cites or References. Use and bold at least one specific term per required
chapter. Submit on turnitin.com report to confirm originality (0-30% excluding references, which
means at least 70% is original work or paraphrased).If score is above 30%, paraphrase and resubmit.
6. Create a Cultural Competence Training (50 points): After summarizing research/content on the
Template and submitting to turnitin.com, expand Template content to produce a Training for our class that
includes sound, video or images that elaborates on the same core content as stated in Outline Template.
7. Choose one method of Cultural Competence Training delivery. The purposes is to design a
professional multimedia training that engages our class in learning and serves to increase our cultural
awareness, enhance our cross-cultural communication competence, and allows our class to more fully
appreciate intercultural communication. Multimedia is defined as text combined with sound and/or
images. Pick one option from list below for delivery. Use or bold at least one specific term per required
(A) Present a 6-7 minute video-recorded speech that expands Outline Template content (e.g. use
Camtasia, Movie Maker, or your Smartphone) and includes 5 visual aids (e.g. images, objects).
(B) Design 12-20 slides that expand Template content (e.g. use Prezi (free), PPT, Google Slides, and
includes 5 images and/or sound (video/audio narrations) with text (about 75-100 words per slide).
(C) Develop a 1200-1500 word manual, brochure, or catalog (e.g. a visitor’s catalog, travel
brochure, or training manual) that expands Template content and includes 5 embedded images.
(D) Create your own option. If you have an idea that you feel meets the project requirements and the
SLO (e.g. recording a song, designing a webpage, etc.) please seek my approval before you start.

8. Submit into Drop Box: Submit APA cited Outline Template with APA References in Outline Template
